Why should I use an Immigration Adviser?

In New Zealand, it is not necessary to use an Immigration Adviser if you wish to make an application for a visa.  You can make a visa application directly to the Immigration New Zealand, an agency which is generally quite accessible.  However, Immigration policies can be complex and difficult to follow, with some rules quite ambiguous.  In addition, as Immigration Officers are often managing hundreds of applications at once, it is your responsibility to prove to your Immigration officer that you meet the policy for the visa you are applying for.   An Immigration Adviser can assess your likelihood of obtaining a visa, help put together a strong application, and liaise with Immigration New Zealand on your behalf to save you time (money) and stress.   In New Zealand all Immigration Advisers must be licensed and are bound by the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act in order to protect migrants from being exploited.

What will Gibbs Immigration service cost?

See our fees page for what our service fees look like.  Our fees are set according to the visa policy your application is made for.  For example, a marriage visitor visa will cost more than a general (tourist) visitor visa because of the nature and difficulty of the application.  During your free consultation, we can provide you a quote for our services according to your application type.

How do I know if I will qualify for a New Zealand visa?

In order to find out if you qualify for a visa, we would need to fully assess your personal information.   A full assessment is part of our Comprehensive Visa Application Service.  Before you progress to that step, we can provide you a free consultation to discuss your situation and advise you on your New Zealand visa options.

How long will my application take?

The length of time taken to make a decision on your visa application will depend on a number of factors, including the type of application, the Immigration New Zealand office it is assessed in, and the level of verification required.  We can give you an estimate of timeframes once we've assessed your situation.
